Dermaplaning VS Microdermabrasion VS Chemical Peels
There are so many options on what now that offer you the best possible outcome for you skin, but which one is actually best for you? We thought we would break them down for you;
This treatment is a manual exfoliation treatment that uses a scape to remove dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin and hair from the face. It helps with multiple problematic skin conditions and aids;
  • Increased cell turnover and stimulation of collagen production
  • Smooths wrinkles and dark spots
  • Reduces pockmarks and deep scars, including acne scarring
  • Removes fine facial hair (also known as Velus hair and ‘peach fuzz’)
  • Reduces milia and comedones (black heads)
Why is this treatment for me?
If you are prone to breakouts and acne very often then using continued dermaplaning will help with this. As this treatment removes Velus hair (aka peach fuzz), there is less material for bacterial and oil to cling to and linger, resulting in clear pores and skin and avoiding acne-causing bacteria.
This treatment isn’t just for acne – once this treatment has removed the peach fuzz from your skin, you will find that make-up sits perfectly and your skin will be glowing. Meaning it’s perfect for any occasion!
Crystal Clear’s Microdermabrasion deeply exfoliates the skin with aluminium oxide crystals that solve a wide range of skin conditions and helps with;
  • Rejuvenates the epidermis
  • Smoothing fine lines and wrinkles
  • Tackling black heads and large pores
  • Decreases visibility of acne scarring and pigmentation caused by sun damage
  • Brightening dull, dehydrated skin
Why is this treatment for me?
Microdermabrasion is most effective when booked as a course of 6 treatments, so if you are looking to relax for an hour a week whilst the natural crystals work their magic to help with the above skin conditions, then this treatment is perfect for you! – Or try it as a one-off treatment.
Chemical Peels
A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing procedure where a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The process removes dry, dull skin cells which then reveals a smoother and more radiant skin underneath, as well as;
  • Treating and reducing wrinkles
  • Reduces the appearance of skin discolouration and scars
  • Helps with uneven skin tone and dryness
  • Improves skin colour. clarity, tone and texture
  • Promotes healthy skin cell growth
  • Stimulates new collagen in the skin
  • Maximises the effectiveness of skincare products (How? Well once the dead skin is gone, your products will absorb into your skin more fully, so the more expensive creams can go even longer!!)
Why is this treatment for me?
Are you looking to strip away years of skin damage in a non invasive way? Or are you concerned about dullness, ageing or acne and are aspiring for brighter, smoother skin? Then a chemical peel is the one for you!
